Therapy is a necessary tool for many. All throughout our lives, people collect traumas, hurts, and all sorts of other experiences that when left unchecked can lead to personal and health-related issues.
If we have experienced or have struggled with anxiety, depression, loss, trauma, emotional wounding, chronic or acute illness, we might find that these experiences can lead to difficulties in living and functioning. We may find ourselves frequently having feelings of chronic frustration, loneliness, anger, sadness or fear. We may sense that these feelings and issues are holding us back from fully living and enjoying our life. And if left unchecked these issues may lead to deeper psychological and health-related concerns.

My therapeutic toolkit contains a wide variety of approaches so individuals can explore their feelings, experiences, and inner dialogue to find resolution.
These techniques include, but are not limited to talk therapy, hypnosis, Low-Energy Neurofeedback System (LENS), and pragmatic meditative and breathing practices. While I was originally trained as a Psychoanalyst, I have shifted my approach to include these two very potent and effective methods: Hakomi Mindfulness-Centered Somatic Psychotherapy, and Re-Creation of the Self: A Model of Human Systems.
The Hakomi method is highly-effective at changing a person’s “core materials” such as memories, images, beliefs, neural patterns and deeply held emotional dispositions that fuel our habits, behaviors, and other defining qualities.
Hakomi enables people to willingly alter these materials to break through circumstances and reach a new level of wholeness.
In psychotherapy sessions, I make every effort to create and maintain a safe, supportive, comfortable, and caring environment where the individual feels respected, understood and valued so that our work can be integrated on an emotional and physical level.
